Office lighting has quietly become one of the most contested line items in a fit-out: it shapes how the space photographs for leasing, how it scores in energy assessments, and how comfortable people find a day of screen work. The good news is that the technical baseline is well established and the design freedom above that baseline is greater than it has ever been. This guide summarises the standard guidance, the shift away from uniform grids, and the details — daylight, controls, video calls — that decide whether an office feels considered or merely compliant.
